The Walt Disney Company Senior Manager, Global HR operations in United States

The Global HR Operations team is responsible for the strategic development and execution of HR services and information to employees, managers, and HR partners throughout the Enterprise.

Job Summary and Purpose:

This role is responsible for planning, managing and delivery of HR Operations services and first level of HR consultancy in the highly efficient and effective way to our internal clients in APAC countries, it will closely interact with the Project Leadership team and develop operational strategies that support the ongoing evolution of the Global HR Operations Organization. Localizing and designing HR Ops process & system and partnering with country/region HR teams, leading the regional managers to insure our services delivery is aligned and consistently interpret of local laws, personnel policies and procedures. Maximizes cast members’ experience and pursue operating excellence. This role will focus on the ongoing client needs and will interface with clients for assessment of new work, services, processes and escalated issues. It will identify opportunities and build operational strategies for continuous improvement and efficiencies for increased productivity and exceptional customer service. Utilizing a variety of sources, data and metrics identify strategies for efficiencies and increased productivity.

Responsibilities : Planning and Strategy

  • Responsible for Translating and implementing the Global HR Operations Service Delivery strategy for the countries in alignment with the original infrastructure established within GHRO to maximize cast members’ experience and achieve operating efficiency.

  • Act as a strategic business advisor to our clients and partners by proactively identifying opportunities to transform the way we do business.

  • Enable and ensure Disney employees, retirees and non-employees to receive the right HR Services information the first time through innovative tools.

  • Accountable for the financial and business impact of process development and implementation and responsible for optimizing HR Operations service delivery module and cost effectiveness

Execution and Change management

  • To implement and localize service delivery model through strong partnership with GHRO internal team, HR, Finance, IT, Communications, Legal and other key partners this role will interface accordingly with any company-wide effort on employee engagement thus further enhancing our delivery model and its effectiveness.

  • Leads service delivery team in countries, responsible for the handling of employee and manager inquiries

  • Manages and works closely with team to set process and project expectations for development and implementation across geographies and functional areas.

  • Identify opportunities to drive the business forward by identifying and planning changes to the business considering client needs, customer experience, costs/ROI, technology, and SLAs

  • Ensuring that Policies/Procedures are documented and aligned with regulations and guidelines globally

  • Leads and measures governance processes ensuring all regulatory including countries labor regulations, emigration laws and internal/external audit requirements are met

  • Managing the vendor relationships for GHRO including, on boarding off boarding, p-file management, relocation services, Comp and Benefit administration. Monitor agency performance through implementing of KPI and partnering with Global Sourcing team.

  • Responsible for HR ops OE and S&B budget during company’s AOP process

  • Ensure reporting, data auditing and adherence to GHRO standards

Team Leadership

  • Lead a multi-site HR Ops service delivery team in APAC countries

  • Lead and manage the Global HR Operations International sites in concert with the broader HR Operations business model/team.

  • Provide day-to-day direction and management to a team handling all employee life cycle inquiries, transactions and escalation needs across TWDC within the 40 countries.

  • Responsible for establishing quality standards and developing procedures to maintain high quality HR transactions.

  • Articulates and champions the Global HR Operations strategy

  • Sets annual performance goals and objectives for team in alignment with Global HR Operations strategy

  • Drives flexibility and continuity in the staffing model allowing for enhanced employee performance, growth and work environment satisfaction.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Provides leadership and support to customers, stakeholders, and employees to drive service satisfaction.

  • Act as a strategic business advisor to our partners by proactively identifying opportunities to transform the way we do business

  • In partnership with Communications and the HR Community, this role will implement the communication and marketing strategy to ensure adoption and evolution the Global HR Operations Services.

  • Accountable for the financial and business impact of process development and implementation and is responsible for optimizing HR Operations service delivery and cost effectiveness for internal stakeholders.

  • In partnership with Legal and local/regional HR, stay ahead of legal requirements and ensure information and processes are in compliance with local legislations/laws.

Basic Qualifications :

Work Experience

  • At least 10 years’ experience in Human Resources or with HR processes

  • Previous work experience in HR operations

  • Previous Disney experience is preferred

  • Demonstrated the ability to design and implement analytical applications to support a service operation’s needs for reporting such as productivity, service excellence and compliance.

  • Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master in Human Resources Management or MBA is preferred
