The Walt Disney Company Senior Financial Analyst, Insurance in United States

This position is to support the management of SHDR insurance programs.

Responsibilities : Provide the overall management of SHDR’s insurance program, in defining insurance requirements, sourcing and placement of insurance policies, daily insurance policies’ management, and maintaining relationships with insurance partners (30%)

  • Familiarize and Understand the coverage and liability of SHDR insurance program

  • Place the new and renew insurance programs by preparing insurance proposals, involving in market insurance submission and providing suggestions on coverage and quotation assessment

  • Establish the policy overview/memo upon the change of programs and newly placed programs

  • Conduct daily insurance policy management and maintain the log of insurance programs

  • Know and understand the benchmark and best practices in local and global markets

  • Build up and maintain good relationship with insurance partners

Preform overall coordination of first-party claims and management of third-party claims (40%)

  • Responsible for complex claims handling, includes claim notification, claim amount quantification, on-site survey, loss document collection, and negotiation on claim evaluation and settlement proposal

  • Maintain claim logs to track claim status and keep loss records by line of insurance policies

  • Support on first-party/third-party claim processes’ refinement and development

  • Support on cross-functional trainings on claim handling process and insurance policy coverage

Support the planning and budgeting of insurance costs. (10%)

  • Assist in SHDR insurance program’s budget control, LTP and AOP budget estimation, and monitoring the insurance spending on monthly basis

  • Regular catch up with Reporting team for the accrual of insurance expenses, and with Treasury team for cash flow forecasting

Support regular insurance deck preparation. (20%)

  • SHDR insurance program quarterly updates

  • Ad hoc

Basic Qualifications :

  • At least 5+ year experiences on insurance related work

  • Bachelor Degree or master, major in Insurance is preferred

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Highly motivated, self-starter, confident

  • Critical thinking and logical thinking

  • Flexible and embraces diversity of job tasks, able to work under fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrate strong partnering skills and hardworking attitude

  • Curiosity and desire to learn, quick learner

  • Excellent in written and verbal English skills

  • Proficiency in PC skills such as Excel and PowerPoint
