The Walt Disney Company Content Development Assistant in China
We have an opportunity for a Content Development Assistant, with a passion and knowledge for a career in the field of live action production, to work with our local content team in Shanghai, China.
Occasional script analysis required (breakdown sets, cast & location)
Works directly with production companies to manage information flow between studio & production, including day-to-day updates during set up and production
Participate in creative decision making both in development and physical production
Read scripts to understand production implications and work with executives to develop a plan, a budget, and a schedule
As an admin assistant role, work with VP and the whole team to:
Receive incoming calls with good and professional manner and take message
Schedule appointments as required
Manage China production team working space including office supplies ordering, payment process, etc
Travel arrangement for the team including flights, hotels, local transportations etc.
Proceed T&E for the team and place POs when required through SAP system
Basic Qualifications :
Familiarity with Content Production. On set experience a plus.
Computer skills, familiarity with Production scheduling and Budgeting programs a plus
Strong assistant skills a must (phones, calendar, contacts). Ability to resolve routine issues and raise complex issues to management.
Bilingual or native speaking proficiency in English and Mandarin required.
Ability to work with highly confidential material
Effective communicator, both verbally and written
Excellent online material/data-mining skill with strong knowledge on digital/technology usage
Ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible.
Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision
Demonstrated ability to work with others, both in a supervisory role and as a collaborative team player
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, make preliminary decisions and change course of action quickly.
Detail oriented with the ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism and service orientation.
Strong organizational and follow-thru skills, keeping manager informed on completed tasks and status of current tasks at hand.
