Responsibilities : Shanghai Disney Resort is looking for an Associate Manager, Broadcast, to join our growing Creative Services Team.

Work as a partner of the broadcast manager in delivering key broadcast and video production projects

Create detailed production plans for broadcast projects with inputs from other teams within marketing to ensure aligned messaging, consistent styles and the quality of Disney brand

Manage video production vendors in the execution of broadcast content production to ensure on time and on budget delivery

Work closely with the creative service team in creating video assets for general marketing purposes

Provide video production support to other internal business units, including Sales, Distribution Marketing, Hotel, Operations, Food &Beverage, Human Resources, Public Affairs etc.)

Establish and build relationship with TV networks to identify relevant TV program opportunities to carry Shanghai Disney Resort contents

Participate in brainstorming sessions for overall brand/product messaging and positioning

Basic Qualifications :

  • 4 years’ college degree in Film, Visual Communication, Journalism or related fields

  • 5+ years of experience in TV content production

  • Creativity and excellent video production coordination skills – the person needs to have working knowledge of the processes of video production, including budgeting, casting, directing, script writing, video camera operation, lighting, sound recording, and post-production, and be able to efficiently coordinate these processes in production projects

  • Video production skills- the person needs to have basics skills of operating broadcast – level video cameras, setting up lighting and post productions

  • Post production skills – the person needs to have basic skills of operating major NLE software and special effect software such as Avid, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, etc.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Proven ability to lead complex video production projects

  • Ability to demonstrate keen knowledge of TV program development, production and syndication program and media evaluation with strong understanding of broadcasting landscape in China is essential

  • Business savvy – knowledge about the highly specialized marketing organization which requires meticulous organization and collaboration with specialized teams in developing creative assets

  • Market acumen – understanding in the media regulations and broadcast landscape that create complications in broadcast projects

  • Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both Chinese and English and ability to work with other teams bringing a positive “can do” attitude
