The Walt Disney Company Programmatic & Social Media Sales Manager in Sydney CBD, Australia

In this newly created role you will be responsible for establishing and executing commercial strategies across the programmatic and social media channels of the Disney & ESPN Media Sales and Partnerships network. Optimal revenue results will be delivered by building strong relationships with agency trading desks, demand side platform vendors, supply side platform vendors, social media talent and internal stakeholders. Furthe, you will act as an expert in programmatic media sales, utilising all distribution channels at their disposal to achieve successful business outcomes.

Responsibilities : Programmatic Sales

  • Work with agency trading desks and clients directly to establish private marketplace and programmatic guaranteed deals

  • Make daily optimisations to deals, RTB rules, floor pricing and ad formats to improve yield

  • Manage SSP, DMP, Header Bidding, and data platform vendor relationships

  • Lead the RFP, contract execution and on boarding of new vendors

  • Provide comprehensive responses to programmatic RFP’s

  • Directly sell, or support the sale, of Maker Prime & Maker Select inventory

  • Liaise with international colleagues to ensure platform setup is delivering optimal revenue outcomes

  • Build and maintain an executive level dashboard to monitor key trends

  • Provide accurate and timely revenue reports and forecasts to the Head of Sales

  • Clearly communicate traffic forecasts to buyers

  • Monitor the quality of creative being run on programmatic channels

  • Formulate and execute a rolling 90 day plan

  • Create quarterly business strategy documents

Data

  • Lead the DMP on boarding process in the ANZ market

  • Determine additional data partners to work with on segmenting audiences

  • Make recommendations on the utilization of, and monetization of first party data Social Media

  • Determine a commercial proposition & ratecard for owned social media pages

  • Drive revenue from third party distribution platforms, including video ad sales on Youtube

  • Work with editorial, product and content planning teams to establish and execute best practice regarding commercial social media posts

Other

  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across all areas of the business

  • Provide insight and feedback to the Head of Sales

  • Continually educate colleagues across the business about the programmatic sales process and opportunities/challenges to achieve complete buy-in to this critical function.

  • Work closely with the Media Sales Coordinator

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in media sales

  • 3+ years of experience in programmatic media (buy or sell side)

  • Strong relationships with agency trading desks in Australia/New Zealand

  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets

  • Strong knowledge of data and platforms

  • Strong analytical background

  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong Relationship Management skills

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management and organisation skills to ensure all priorities and multiple deadlines are met

  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal and interpersonal

  • A strong team player who contributes to an environment that embraces innovation

  • Ability to always follow through
