In view of Southeast Asia’s growth, we are now seeking a Head, Studio Entertainment, Malaysia & Singapore, to drive growth for our theatrical business across these two markets. Partnering very closely with our Malaysia & Singapore leadership team and the SEA regional studio team, you will provide strong studio leadership to develop and implement a strong theatrical distribution and marketing strategy (together with the Head of Marketing for Malaysia & Singapore) that maximizes our market share and revenue.
Develop, manage and implement distribution-led strategies that expand and optimize our relationships with local exhibitors;
Oversee development of marketing strategies (localization, expanding digital/social executions, large scale on ground experiences), partnering closely with marketing, Disney Media+ and all other functional groups to drive brand equity and affinity in alignment with box office expectations in Malaysia & Singapore;
Focus on delivering Studio results against Annual Operating Plan and Five-Year Plan, aligned with the Studio SEA overall strategy; Conceptualize innovative solutions for complex business problems and drive the execution of these solutions;
Develop and implement a strong integrated planning process for all our film releases in collaboration with key stakeholders in the regional Studio team, other business groups and external partners;
Lead a diverse team in working across organizational boundaries towards a shared strategy.
Effectively build a best in class and cohesive studio structure that meets business demands and strives for continual improvement.
Basic Qualifications :
The ideal candidate would be a strong leader with the ability to translate vision into strategy and actionable plans, who understands the complexity of the Singapore and Malaysia markets. He/she is a change enabler who is organizationally savvy and builds strong networks internally and externally. Further competencies desired include;
PASSION for movies;
Strong sales and distribution and/or marketing experience with excellent record of achievement and proven P&L experience;
Prior experience in Studio, i.e. slate/title knowledge with experience in competitive strategies would be advantageous;
Strategic approach to marketing & promotion/campaigns;
Strong stakeholder management; experience in navigating a matrixed organization and successfully influencing key internal and external partners;
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to define a clear vision, motivate others in a positive way to achieve desired results, and to develop a successful team;
Visionary and creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture whilst recognizing and valuing detail;
Excellent negotiation, commercial and communication skills;
