Disney Parks & Resorts Digital (DPRD) is the digital media arm of The Walt Disney Company’s Parks and Resorts segment. Through our award-winning digital experiences, we provide magical connections and enhancements to travel destinations such as the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, the Disneyland® Resort in California, the Shanghai Disney Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. At DPRD, we also design and create Digital Experiences for Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and Disney Vacation Club.
The Disney Parks and Resorts Digital team has responsibility for the end-to-end, digital-plus-physical Guest experience for all digital-led initiatives globally, across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business. The team is responsible for concept development, defining and executing these initiatives in collaboration with Operations Integration, Site Operations, Technology, Consumer Insights, Walt Disney Imagineering, Finance and Human Resources. Additionally, the team also builds all digital experiences to grow e-Commerce (both consumer direct and digital travel trade) for Marketing & Sales globally.
Digital-led initiatives are those where the digital capability, whether powered through PC, tablet, mobile, wearables, Magic Band or even a Guest's personal technology, are the key driver of end-to-end digital-plus-physical experience for both our Guests and Cast. As our physical and digital worlds continue to converge, the team will work with Site Leadership, Ops Integration, Technology and Walt Disney Imagineering to prioritize these digital-led initiatives that take best advantage of digital tools and technologies and create the greatest impact on the overall Guest experience.
Based in Seattle, WA and reporting to the Director of Digital Experiences, this Manager of Product Management will be responsible for determining, managing and executing the strategic direction of our Parks & Resorts Profile and App Messaging Solutions, while also working with the Natural Language Processing team on integrating Live Person capabilities. The Manager of Product Management will lead 3-5 product managers and collaborate with leadership to provide updates on our product plans and deliverables. This role calls for a high degree of dexterity in working with a wide range of different stakeholders across functional areas and digital products as the scope is encompasses both vertical and horizontal responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, ability to multi-task across a wide range of projects, a deep understanding of mobile apps, push notifications, messaging inboxes, and message targeting. Having a technical background, plus experience with profile and natural language processing will be a benefit.
Manages and directs the strategic direction, roadmap, priorities, and development pipeline for App Messaging and Profile. Overtime, this will include messaging on IoTs & within virtual assistants.
Sets a bold vision for where we need to go, with a Guest first focus, and assists other Digital teams within Parks & Resorts (both international and domestic) with platform features that meet their needs. This candidate must have the ability to influence without authority.
Stays abreast of consumer trends and evolving core use cases across Digital Guest Experience and e-Commerce product themes.
Partners with and participates in consumer insight research and usability to develop a complete understanding of the Guest and their challenges
Manages and shows ownership over the budget, and is ultimately responsible for on-time delivery
Effectively interfaces with executives (Director, VP, SVP) across DPRD and the broader Disney organization
Work with the Director and VP to develop the Annual Operating Plan, incorporating the product roadmap and appropriate externally funded, yet related, projects; advocating for the appropriate level of funding necessary to meet the rapid adoption of mobile and NLP by our consumers
Ultimately accountable – however may delegate responsibility - to ensure that the development teams have a deep understanding of the product objectives and priority and helps those teams translate the product concepts into user stories, epics and other appropriate product deliverables (project briefs, scope/requirement documents, Guest prioritized needs, etc.)
The Product Director is directly responsible to develop and grow his/her managers and product managers, as well as content strategists
Has a deep knowledge of mobile technology and/or travel/leisure tourism
Basic Qualifications :
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in order to understand our rapidly evolving product, business, IP and guest needs

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to very effectively present a compelling vision and story at an executive level within and outside of Disney
