Enterprise Technology is responsible for technology strategy and management, central engineering, architecture, IT and technical operations for TWDC . In addition to supporting the digital products of the company, Enterprise Tech also provides back-of-house services for the company, from the network layer on up. This includes providing a comprehensive set of technologies (Workforce Enablement) to support the day-to-day productivity and collaboration of the workforce.
Digital Media Platforms, a subset of Workforce Enablement, designs, builds and operates a number of technology platforms in the content and productivity space. These platforms are enterprise-level shared environments upon which solutions are built to fit specific business needs. DMP develops, hosts and supports these solutions as well as providing governance and support for clients that build their own solutions on our platforms. These solutions support highly complex and critical business operations and as such require a high level of uptime and care.
The Manager of Content Services is responsible for the overall strategy, planning, implementation and management of multiple platforms within the Digital Media Platforms department.
This leader will collaborate with the Service Owners in DMP, aligning common methods and procedures for managing all DMP platforms.
Serves as the focal point for assigned platforms, defining the services to be provided, and effectively marketing and communicating the services and overall strategy to Enterprise Technology organizations and Business Segments.
This manager is responsible for reviewing all client project requests, determining best-fit for service, providing estimates and tracking the request through its lifecycle.
The Manager of Content Services will review all client requests and estimates for large projects and provide input on requests submitted for the platforms managed by other DMP Service Owners.
The Manager of Content Services will define and manage solution designs, pricing, contracts, suppliers, budgets and service changes working closely with Security, Legal, Finance, Client Relationship and Sourcing organizations.
The Manager of Content Services will work closely with engineering and architecture resources to design the best technical solutions for each service.
The Manager of Content Services must maintain a current, broad understanding of the technologies, industry trends and best practices related to the services offered by the department.
This role will ensure that appropriate visibility and participation occurs in key planning and project related or issue related meetings requiring strong project management and leadership experience.
Manages direct reports who are responsible for developing solutions on DMP platforms, and assists with promoting and supporting the platforms.
As a people manager, this leader is responsible for day-to-day guidance, career development support, coaching and mentorship of direct reports
The Manager of Content Services is responsible for managing the vendors contracted to provide operational support and proactive services for their assigned platforms.
Provides operational and governance oversight of the outsourced support vendors contracted by DMP.
Contribute to AOP budget exercise at the direction of the Sr. Manager.
Responsible for determining TCO for department platforms and assisting leadership in defining chargeback models as needed
Contributes to monthly departmental allocations by assisting Sr. Manager in gathering data from each DMP Service Manager, updating allocation worksheet and submitting monthly report
Basic Qualifications :
5+ years of technology service management and delivery experience
5+ years experience in successfully managing direct reports
3+ years successfully developing standards and roadmaps for content, document and information platforms
3+ years successful vendor management
Experience with the management of high value and/or complex IT outsourcing contracts, financial analysis, and business risk analysis
Demonstrated service program ownership experience
Technical experience with managing collaborative platforms used in an enterprise setting (SharePoint, Jive, OpenText, etc.)
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, and influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide array of technical and managerial personnel to solve complex problems
Broad understanding of Workforce Enablement technologies and services
Advanced to expert understanding of an enterprise shared services environment
Ability to provide financial and resource allocation/forecasting processes/reporting
Strong facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
Successful history of client contact including experience in setting and managing client expectations
Self-starter with high level of initiative; strong sense of ownership and urgency
Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including technical and non-technical people and internal and external audiences
Must be able to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Experience in a complex, large-company environment
Comfortable learning and using a variety of processes and technical tools to get things done
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and partners across co-located, virtual, and off-shore settings
