The Walt Disney Company Sr Administrative Assistant - Finance & Human Resources in New York, New York

This position provides administrative support to two of our Disney Streaming Executives: our SVP and CFO, and our VP of Human Resources.

Disney Streaming Services is a business unit within The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment that oversees all consumer-facing digital video subscription services across the company. Disney Streaming is responsible for developing and operating The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer video businesses globally, including the ESPN+ premium sports streaming service, programmed in conjunction with ESPN; the upcoming Disney SVOD service; and BAMTECH Media, a global leader in direct-to-consumer video streaming products and solutions. Its core mission is to deliver global audiences the freedom to access content on their terms across any connected device, time or location.

Responsibilities : Finance

  • Work with accounting managers to submit high-level Invoices and PO’s via SAP and help resolve any issues

  • Manage all posted mail for Disney Steaming regarding TAX, HR, Legal, and/or Accounting

  • Collect and maintain log of team vacation days

Human Resources

  • Manage communications weekly for US based new hires regarding new hire information and agendas for IT Onboarding and New Employee Orientation

  • Collect, log, and process employee requests for streaming subscription vouchers

  • Assist in directing any employee inquiries to appropriate resources

  • Participate as a backup facilitator as needed for New Employee Orientation

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum three years proven administrative experience supporting senior level executives in a corporate environment

  • Positive team player with an enthusiastic attitude and a strong service orientation

  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively through demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills

  • Eagerness to learn the substance of the work in which the SVP is involved, in order to be an effective facilitator within the business unit

  • Strong ability to be proactive and self-motivated and anticipate administrative needs

  • Exemplary planning and organization skills – able to set priorities, manage details and accurately follow through to meet all deadlines

  • Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate good judgment in the handling of issues; including those that involve sensitive and confidential information

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, manage competing demands and change course of action quickly in a fast paced environment

  • Exemplary organization and time management skills

  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; as well as ability to learn new technologies and applications for MAC, iPhone and iPad.

  • Provide technical expertise, coaching, skills development and mentoring for administrative team members

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with computer programs Concur and/or SAP

Required Education :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
