The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney’s streaming and digital products.

Job Summary

Disney is looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager II to build & optimize our state-of-the-art Offer & Pricing Management platform that delivers innovative and flexible global offerings at scale. In this role, you’ll own and define the internal workflow experience and offer services layer that drives our product portfolio. You’ll have full ownership of the product you’re working on and will be able to make fast decisions in a highly collaborative environment. This is a highly cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with Product & Engineering Leaders, Marketing Managers, Customer Success, Finance partners and more to ultimately create and deliver on your vision for operationalizing all offers at Disney.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Offers tooling and services roadmap based on your extensive knowledge of the subscription landscape, customer pain points and specific business needs.

  • Launch new monetization methods and incentives, and work with Engineering and Business leads to envision the future of the platform.

  • Building a world class subscription and promotion tool that makes it easy to run offer campaigns for years to come.

  • Support the business and operations teams with training and assistance to create and cultivate self-serviceability.

  • Act as the leading expert in all our current offer capabilities and provide key data and operational insights to influence future innovation for the business and engineering teams.

  • Regularly analyze the performance of our subscriber base across acquisition and retention and propose new offerings that can drive continual growth.

  • Support the product management and business teams in launching roadmap initiatives and optimizations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of product management or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in leading, scaling and optimizing a growing subscription platform

  • Historical track record in translating users’ needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and an understanding of the subscription, packaging, or promotion landscape.

  • Ability to comfortably analyze large data sets and ask the right questions in order to hone your ideas and deliver features which have a high degree of ambiguity.

  • Deep understanding of the subscription domain with a passion for technology; you’re not just concerned about what we build, but how we build it.

  • Ability to dive deep with engineers to make technical tradeoff decisions and summarize it all for non-technical stakeholders and executives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education in technology or business domains.

  • An undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, finance, economics or related disciplines. MBA preferred.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $156,300 to $209,600 per year, in Santa Monica, CA is $149,300 to $200,200, and in San Francisco, CA is $163,500 to $219,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
