The Walt Disney Company Senior Manager, Security in New York, New York

This position will be part of The Walt Disney Company Global Security Operations and will report to the Director of Regional Security Operations for the East Coast. The position will be situated within the Disney Theatrical Group offices with local reporting to the Vice President of Disney Theatrical Operations.
The Senior Manager of Security Operations is responsible for the security and safety of employees, guests, and the protection of company assets for all Disney Theatrical Operations domestically. The Senior Manager will employ a strong strategic and analytical approach in recommending, developing, implementing and overseeing all Disney Theatrical Group policies, procedures, and programs in NYC, as well as domestically, and sharing information and intelligence with the DTG organization within the United Kingdom as well as other international markets.
Define and deliver security and safety services by proactively evaluating threats, assessing risks, planning, evaluating and implementing the Security functions for all Disney Theatrical Group productions and assets.
Responsible for physical security measures employed throughout the region, as well as the personal safety of employees and guests.
Review and serve as expert for all security related matters for all theaters presenting DTG productions in the US, including all emergency action plans and security procedures, and provide recommendations on how to improve them as needed.
Identify and resolve all security related concerns working towards establishing a consistent approach in NYC and for our national touring companies.
Organize and host situational awareness and other security related training with all US based DTG productions and office staff.
Lead toward the successful accomplishment of department objectives by establishing action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements; obtaining and allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
Solidify existing relationships with law enforcement, government officials and Line of Business executives by actively engaging in dialogue and by supporting key initiatives and activities.
Partner with DTG Operations team on all new and ongoing operational strategies.
As a member of the Global Security team this role may be tasked with other security duties outside of the DTG operation in support of business segments within the global security mission.
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility within the security and/or law enforcement field, including investigations.
Demonstrated track record in dealing with the effective communication of complex organizational and human resource issues.
Assimilates and synthesizes information rapidly and recognizes complexities and challenges.
Deals effectively with ambiguity and learns from success.
Demonstrates resiliency and sound judgment in dealing with business and corporate challenges.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated track record of partnering with various organizations within a large global corporate environment to achieve specific goals and objectives.
Strong leadership and influence skills.
Build trust and instill self-confidence through mutual respect and ongoing communication.
Capable of handling multiple, complex and paradoxical situations.
Knowledge of emerging screening technologies and crowd control venue security.
Required Education :
- Bachelor’s degree required.
