The Broadcast Technical Project Manager is responsible for providing help in managing various aspects of Broadcast Infrastructure projects, along with vendor relations. This includes projects affecting the infrastructure located at the central Multimedia datacenters. The candidate will ensure work is completed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. Equipment encountered in this position includes, but is not limited to, broadcast servers, multiviewers, broadcast automation systems, audio/video routers, broadcast encoders, fiber transmission equipment, various IP networking hardware, COTS servers, and test and measurement equipment.

Specific Duties

  • Liaise with vendors to develop roadmap plans, ensure timely delivery of bug fixes, and feature requests

  • Gather requirements for new client proposals

  • Gather requirements for functional and operations improvements

  • Manage capital budget documents in tandem with groups senior staff

  • Align project resources amongst Broadcast, infrastructure, and Ops groups

  • Oversee datacenter broadcast upgrades and new builds

  • Task management at a micro level; alignment with Infrastructure project managers for macro level

  • Up to 40% travel

Responsibilities :

  • 3 or more years of Broadcast Systems Engineering

  • Technical Media Project Management or the desire to transition from an Engineering to Project Management role

  • Broadcast and/or IT experience

  • Overtime, nights and weekends – Flexible hours

  • Highly competent with project management tools including Microsoft Office

  • Individual must be able to work under pressure and meet strict job deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Travel required
