The Walt Disney Company Vice President, Sales in Lantau Island, Hong Kong
We are seeking a seasoned executive with significant hospitality and tourism sales and business development experience to serve as Vice President, Sales of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The Vice President will define, drive and deliver the sales strategy for the resort in order to achieve theme park admissions, hotel room nights and other revenue targets. Foundational to the Vice President’s success is the ability to generate new business opportunities, effectively manage distribution channels, and with a degree of specificity, understand the economic, environmental and competitive factors, including their impacts on key business drivers.
Holds management accountability for the leisure sales function of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL). Develops, establishes and approves long-term vision and sales strategy to achieve theme park admissions, hotel room nights and other revenue targets.
Provide leadership to the Sales function in the planning and development of Annual Operating Plan, and manage the execution, implementation and tracking of the plans to achieve the overall sales targets.
Develops short, medium and long term plans to achieve Cast / Employee Excellence in the Sales function. Specifically in organizational development, career development, performance management, succession planning, communication, coaching and talent development.
Develop and strengthen working relationships with major key business partners, travel trade industry leaders, government officials, and relevant influencers in the communities of Hong Kong, Mainland China, and core regional markets, to create an effective network of influencers to the overall business.
Collaborate and partner with leaders in the Commercial Strategy organization, various Line of Business (LOB), and Disney Parks, Experiences & Consumer Products Segment (DPECP) to drive business efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
Contribute strategically for the overall policy setting, business optimization and future development of the resort to sustain HKDL’s growth and to achieve the overall business objectives.
Provides timely business insights, reviews, and market intelligence to senior leaders, and proactively evaluates the potential impact on HKDL’s overall business.
Basic Qualifications :
15+ years of sales or business development experience.
5+ years of executive level management experience with accountability on business results.
Extensive knowledge of the travel industry landscape in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Philippines, Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia with established network and working relationships.
Strong leadership, sound business acumen and results oriented.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Bachelor degree holder. MBA preferred.
Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
