The Walt Disney Company Store Design Category Sourcing Manager in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

We are seeking a leader to serve as the Store Design Procurement Manager. This role will be responsible for negotiating and purchasing materials, equipment, services and supplies for all store design retail projects. They are responsible for the introduction, organization and implementation of all necessary procedures, governance and process within Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. He/she will have accountability for ensuring projects are within the approved budgets, meet scheduled completion dates and adhere to Disney’s expectations of quality and excellence. This role will be the primary contact with internal business partners including but not limited to Site Operations, Industrial Engineering, Facility Asset Management, and Walt Disney Imagineering.

Responsibilities :

  • Work with internal and external business partners to define global procurement processes; identify, prioritize, and drive business decisions across stakeholder teams; identify process localization needs; set strategies for defining and rolling out supplier management and enablement strategies

  • Managing direct/indirect spend for all retail projects. Plan, manage and execute all procurement aspects of new store openings, relocations, refreshes and store closings with business partners

  • Develop comprehensive internal programs and processes that align with current business needs. Implement and partner cross functionally to standardize communication processes that inform and support retail initiatives

  • Strong understanding of Visual Merchandising / Merchandising required, ensuring alignment of merchandise, visual and store design presentations

  • Expedite and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. Write and analyze requisitions, invoices, supply requests and supply orders. Track and monitor inventory and needs to determine when to order or purchase new items.

  • Define, measure and track categories for spending to provide targeted analyses of budget. Coordinate payment, delivery, scheduling and organization of purchases.

  • Coordinates incoming bid requests and proposal responses. The Procurement Manager must organize and track all requests and responses. Deliver cost savings, value analysis and process redesign in accordance with department’s goals.

  • Develop and support strong supplier base to assist growing businesses that meet our specific requirements to provide excellent quality goods and services at the best value.

  • Identifies and resolves any issues related to quality, cost, and delivery to minimize the risk of interrupted supply.

  • Manages and enhances supplier performance through standardized processes and continuous improvement efforts to obtain optimal results related to quality, cost, delivery, and service.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 5-7 years Retail Store Design Procurement experience

  • Experience driving collaborative procurement processes and supplier management and supplier compliance. Leads store design department with specialty retail procurement practices

  • Experience with category management of retail fixtures and furnishings.

  • Strong understanding of retail store design; its guiding principles/theories/values.

  • Ability to read construction plans and communicate all aspects of design with external firms and internal partners as needed

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and lead complex, cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships with cross functional partners and a diverse set of stakeholders, lead in a collaborative style as well as communicate in an engaging impactful manner

  • Must be willing and able to travel

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Supply Management
