The Project Management Office under Walt Disney Attractions and Technology is looking for an experienced and resourceful Sr. Business Analyst / Product Owner to collaborate with key stakeholders within and outside the technology business management group to define the project management and project focused financial processes.

This role will also use the defined project management and project financial management processes to establish the requirements to configure the project and portfolio management and agile delivery tools across the Technology organization.

The ideal candidate will develop a partnership with the delivery organization, technology finance, Project Management and Portfolio management teams within the organizations. They will comfortable with communicating with all levels in the organization and will be able to adapt the message to suite the audience at any given time to ensure high level of engagement. They will be responsible for producing, grooming, prioritizing, and overall timely management of the backlog as well as developing user acceptance criteria. They will assist in adoption, change management activities and analyzing/reporting on the impact of introduced solutions to the organization.

The candidate should have a solid grasp on analytics, strategy, and Agile methodologies in order to help deliver a high-quality production to increase adoption. He/She will drive and help define the launch of new features and services within the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate data and insights for comprehensive strategy planning and value based delivery of the backlog

  • Have a clear and elevated vision of what he or she wants to build, and effectively convey that vision/goal to the Agile delivery team

  • Write concise and effective User Stories and acceptance criteria that will be used by developers and automation test frameworks by way of active listening, interviews, work flow & process analysis, and observation sessions, drive balanced solutions that consider people, process & technology.

  • Partner with stakeholders as an advocate to represent the tools & process from a user/consumer perspective to ensure releases are value add, continuously learn and iterate to improve the solutions for them.

  • Be an active productive team member on a collaborative agile delivery team, partner to successfully deliver features and functionality to production monthly

  • Show commitment by doing whatever is necessary to build the best product possible – and remains actively engaged with the delivery team throughout

  • Facilitate and clarify customer needs and translate them into application and operational user stories.

  • Arrange stakeholder reviews & validation of process and/or software under development & test ensuring satisfaction

  • Manages the scope and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that they are understood by the delivery team and met by the delivered solution.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Solid understanding of the product lifecycle and accurate and precise attention to detail

  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practices

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Business Analyst across a number of and types of initiatives involving project or portfolio management.

  • 3+ years of experience working within an Agile delivery team

  • Expert communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at every level including translating requirements for technical developers

  • Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Version One, JIRA

  • Experience using Portfolio Management Tools such as Clarity or CA PPM

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Proven ability to prioritize backlog based on highest value to the customer(s)

  • Experience in techniques, such as creating Personas, user stories, requirements definition, process modeling and process mapping.

Required Education :

  • Bachelors Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Business, Marketing or related work experience.
