The Walt Disney Company Security Specialist in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Apply security engineering expertise and innovation to design, develop, and implement solutions and technologies to address cyber security challenges and opportunities, which includes threat-based engineering, new architecture, tools, and techniques for the reverse engineering of systems. The Senior Security Engineer will conduct proof of concept prototyping, product evaluations, development, and testing. This includes performing research and development of unique, cutting edge technical capabilities for understanding, assessing, and analyzing cyber technologies.

Responsibilities :

  • Conceptualize and develop solutions to improve security posture and lead projects from conception to design to implementation

  • Build next generation reverse engineering tools and approaches

  • Perform deep analysis of systems to understand limitations and weaknesses in order to identify cyber security challenges that need to be addressed

  • Drive security risk decisions and influence technical architecture

  • Solve information security problems before they surface by using cutting edge strategies to address emerging cyber-threats

  • Participate in the development of architectural designs for new solutions to ensure security requirements are built-in from the beginning

  • Continual self-education of emerging technologies to assist in the development of secure configurations (i.e. Cloud Web Services, IoT devices, mobile applications, control systems, etc.)

  • Monitor industry trends and identify best practices and/or methodologies to implement in-house

Basic Qualifications :

  • 2-4 years of security experience working as Security Architect/Engineer or Reverse Malware Analyst.

  • 1-2 years Threat/Vulnerability identification, analysis and remediation experience.

  • 1-2 years experience with NIDS/HIDS, network taps, endpoint detection and response solutions.

  • Knowledge of security testing services/solutions.

  • Ability to identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate.

  • Conceptual understanding of adversarial techniques, signals/IOC’s generated and containment/mitigation paths.

  • Ability to establish credibility and working relationships with a wide range of personnel, including operations, management and legal staff.

  • Knowledge of tools and techniques for analyzing large sets of data.

  • Demonstrated experience using various log sources, as well as internal and external threat intelligence, to identify emerging threats.

  • Deep understanding of common security practices and frameworks.

  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Conceptual knowledge of reverse malware processes and tools.

  • Conceptual knowledge of cloud providers and cloud security best practices.

  • Experience in SOC/CSIRT team.

  • Knowledge of IoT devices and security concepts.

  • 1 year coding (Python, Bash, JS…). Ability to generate customized scripts in common languages such as python, ruby, pearl, and/or bash.

  • Knowledge of pen test/red team techniques and tools.

  • Conceptual knowledge of SIEM solutions/Splunk.

  • Security accreditation (i.e., CISSP, GSEC, CISM).

  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule and travel requirements.

  • Experience identifying indicators of compromise.

  • Experience with both commercial and open source tools such as Kali, burp, nmap, nessus, openvas, sqlmap, metasploit, meterpreter, kismet, fiddler, wireshark, and Aircrack-ng

  • Knowledge of security related legislation/regulations with emphasis on PCI and other privacy regulations.

Required Education :

Bachelor's degree in Information Security related field or related work experience testing information systems.
