The Walt Disney Company Portfolio Management Specialist in Lake Buena Vista, Florida

We are looking for driven, passionate, experienced Portfolio lead with a track record of delivering successful business solutions. This position is responsible for managing the technology projects including enterprise initiatives, mandates, discretionary projects, and departmental projects. This position partners with Directors to facilitate delivery manager(s), business partners, and the project management office to plan, prioritize, facilitate delivery, and report on the entire Marketing & Sales Information Advantage portfolio. Responsible for portfolio demand and capacity forecasting, management, issue identification and resolution. We operate in an extremely fast-paced environment with rapid exploration, iteration, and execution. Demonstrated interest and ability to quickly learn the business and technology Marketing & Sales landscape

Responsibilities :

  • Acts as representative for the M&S/RM&A portfolio internally and externally, supporting the business and technology IA M&S/RM&A communications

  • Oversight and Onboarding of Project and Program Managers for the entire life cycle of Information Advantage Marketing & Sales/Revenue Management & Analytics projects within the portfolio

  • Facilitate the portfolio management processes (intake, discovery and approval) with IT leadership, departmental stakeholders and the project management office

  • Expected to identify bottlenecks, surface issues, and proactively drive for their resolution. Leads contingency planning efforts.

  • Contributes to definition, monitoring and communication of success metrics by project, program and function. On an ongoing basis, monitor the metrics of all projects for significant deviations in quality, schedule and/or cost

  • Effectively and concisely communicate problems, issues, risks, solutions, etc. both via written and oral methods to appropriate stakeholders and leadership

  • Financial Management (ACP and AOP)- Coordinate with the Directors to facilitate approvals of communications for financial forecasting and submissions, preparation of senior management presentations and financial reporting packages

  • Develop executive level presentations and present as needed

  • Facilitate the development of detailed project plans, resource, work, and cost estimates, critical path assessment, budgets and schedules, including goals, risks and resource allocation

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration or related field

  • Capital and Operating Expense budgeting and forecasting experience highly desired

  • 2+ years of portfolio and 5+ years of program / project management experience with technology delivery, rigorous attention to detail

  • Skilled in distilling portfolio communications and insights, synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences, both technical and not technical.

  • Innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly-changing startup environment

  • Ability to wear many hats and learn quickly, and the temperament to lead a change in direction when needed

  • Strong program / project management, leadership, and organization skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills through all levels of the organization, technical and non-technical

  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically, must be thorough and detail-oriented

  • Able to work on multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

  • Must have the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
