The Financial Analyst role in Disney Gift Card Services (DGCS) Finance participates in the development of the key planning processes such as AOP, Long Term Plan, and Forecast and performs technical analyses to determine present and future financial performance. The Financial Analyst will partner with various finance and business teams to deliver financial analyses and develop perspectives which challenge the status quo.

The ideal candidate for this position will proactively help manage the core financial processes and provide active client support. The candidate should also look to drive efficiency efforts, have open lines of communication and help strategically plan for the future.

Responsibilities :

  • Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans and forecast

  • Prepare financial reports and analyses for Finance and Business owners to support key decisions

  • Perform other financial activities as required (e.g., ad hoc research and analysis, reconciliations, project support, etc.) using SAP and various other systems

  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements

  • Partner across multiple areas and disciplines

Basic Qualifications :

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Effective interpersonable skills including: teamwork and partnering

  • General understanding of traditional financial cycle and finance/accounting concepts

  • Demonstrated ability to be organized and pay attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (i.e., presentation skills)

  • Demonstrated ability to work appropriately with confidential information

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 1-3 years of experience

  • Proficiency in SAP, Business Objects, Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Mekko Graphics, and Tableau

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
