The Walt Disney Company Community Relations Coordinator in Lake Buena Vista, Florida
The Corporate Citizenship Coordinator is a valuable member of our Cast Engagement team assisting with a variety of programs and special events that maintain and enhance Disney’s positive reputation and relationship with our Cast Members and Central Florida community.
Coordinate programs & special events for the community that maintains Disney’s positive relationship in Central Florida and our Cast Member community
Write & maintain SOG’s for Corporate Citizenship programs & events.
Manage budgets, provided by the Relationship Manager, for Corporate Citizenship programs & events.
Assist with the logistics, planning, marketing and execution of Corporate Citizenship Cast programs, drives, campaigns and events
Responsible for communicating relevant information timely with all parties working on a program or event
Responsible for collateral collation for programs & events executed and supported by Corporate Citizenship.
Responsible for ordering supplies and paying invoices timely for programs & events supported by Corporate Citizenship
Responsible for timely updating event/program information in emails, spreadsheets, timelines, social media sites and documents or resources relevant to programs and events Corporate Citizenship is supporting
Building a strong network of contacts by partnering with various internal and external departments & organizations to accomplish Corporate Citizenship goals
Support general office functions, as needed
Basic Qualifications :
Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Keynote and the Adobe suite of products
Demonstrated strong written & verbal communication skills
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong relationship and partnering skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and ability to partner with key stakeholders for successful project follow through and completion
Demonstrated problem solving & decision making skills and an ability to share creative and new ideas
Demonstrated ability to be both a self starter and work as part of a team
Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications :
Proven knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney World policies and procedures and a minimum of 1-3 years of Parks and Resorts experience
Previous event planning and execution, marketing, communications experience
Proven community outreach and volunteer experience
Multi-lingual, English/Spanish fluency is a plus
Required Education :
- High school degree or equivalent
