Responsibilities :

A day in the life…

  • Learn and sharpen skills in Merchandise Business Strategy/Buying/Product Development

  • Understand how to build a Retail Business Strategy through partnering with global cross-functional partners as part of the Global Merchandise Product Development team.

Be a part of a transformative team and culture … (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to)

  • Assisting with the creation and implementation of business strategies for global categories to reinforce storytelling and create an immersive guest experience.

  • Managing item set up creation and coordination of samples.

  • Researching market trends and innovations to support guest experiences through merchandise.

Basic Qualifications :

You have…

  • Ability to analyze merchandise businesses with understanding of product life cycle

  • Previous Merchandise experience

  • Understanding of market retail trends

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications :

•Prior participation in the Disney College Program

Additional Information :

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Must provide full work availability

  • Must provide own transportation to/from work

  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2018 through January 2019. Candidates must be fully available to work full time any time including days, nights, weekends, and holidays for the duration of the internship.
