The Consolidations team, within Corporate Reporting, is primarily responsible for managing Enterprise SAP financial consolidations and balance sheet reporting, while implementing efficient and effective systems and processes. Corporate Consolidation team also prepares various analyses to support external and internal reporting requirements, including SEC reporting and balance sheet analyses for each of our segments (Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, Studio Entertainment, Consumer Products and Interactive Media). There is significant interaction with the segment reporting teams, as well as a number of corporate departments, including Corporate Tax, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, and the office of the CFO.

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position reports to a Senior Manager in Corporate Consolidations and will be responsible for various key functions that support the quarterly consolidation and close process for the enterprise. This person will also actively participate in the preparation of Form 10-K/10-Q and the preparation of internal financial reporting that is provided to senior executives of the Company. This role involves high interaction with a broad array of corporate and segment management personnel, including the senior executive level. This position represents a unique opportunity to provide accounting, reporting and financial system expertise, often within a team of other functional experts, on key business initiatives and special projects within the Company.

Responsibilities :

  • Support the quarterly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely and accurate generation of TWDC consolidated financial statements

  • Prepare quarterly Enterprise balance sheet analysis, goodwill and intangible roll forward

  • Assist in preparing the press release, annual report, Forms 10-K & 10Q, and other SEC documents; assist in preparing the audit committee meeting material, provide external auditors with the supporting documentation and respond to inquiries

  • Monitor enterprise intercompany processes, identify and communicate risks as well as opportunities to improve the process, develop and implement process improvements, review segment submissions and prepare monthly and quarterly enterprise intercompany reconciliations

  • Support implementation of off-quarter Enterprise-wide financial process improvement initiatives and facilitate as needed

  • Help manage the Enterprise-wide Reconciliation process for several key accounts

  • Lead/execute various ad-hoc projects

  • Three to five years in accounting, auditing or finance positions of increasing responsibility (including public accounting) preferably with a large multi-national company or Big 4 accounting firm

  • Strong accounting and control knowledge required, specifically with respect to financial reporting and systems

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Work experience within the entertainment industry a plus

  • SAP and consolidations systems experience a plus

Required Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

Preferred Education :

  • CPA
