Walt Disney Attractions Technology (WDAT) is the technology arm of Parks and Resorts segment. Through our award-winning websites, we provide a digital portal to magical travel destinations such as the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, the Disneyland® Resort in California and Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. At WDPRO, we also have designed and created websites for Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and Disney Vacation Club.
As an iOS Engineer, you will be joining a team of developers, designing, developing and maintaining code/modules for WDAT Mobile Applications and Platform. You will be working in an Agile environment, delivering code, participating in technical decisions, and technical projects. In this role, the iOS Engineer is expected to be able to execute on directions provided by your technical leadership.
Analyzing user stories and participating in sprint planning, scrums, demos and retrospectives
Join in team accountability for uptime and high-availability for all solutions
Join in team accountability for performance and usability in all solutions
Coordinating with tech lead to implement application changes to spec.
Integrating mobile application code with back-end services
Understanding the need for optimized / customized mobile service responses / payloads
Providing feedback on requirements to technical leaders
Learning new technologies when required
Performing peer code reviews for immediate and related teams
Collaborate closely with dev team members to implement app features in a robust, resilient, and stable way.
Understand end-to-end technical architecture, standards and roadmap
Help evaluate and implement solutions with performant, highly-availability and stability included in all deliverables
Basic Qualifications :
3+ years of software development experience with a minimum of 2+ years of iOS development experience
iOS/Swift mobile application development skills with a team of developers creating commercial quality software.
Able to participate in reviewing and updating requirements and/or user stories
Able to participate in writing technical documentation
Understanding of agile software development
Disciplined approach to software development. Includes adhering to engineering best practices.
Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
Understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Understanding of Computer Science Fundamentals.
Knowledge of unit testing, behavioral testing and continuous integration
Lives by OOP and well-factored code.
Helps build strong cross-functional working relationships
Automate software with continuous integration / continuous delivery
Delivers software in an Agile environment
Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The position requires frequent communication with colleagues and partners in several different geographic locations and time zones

Mobile application accessibility
Ability to work with all members of an extended and diverse project team

Knowledge of analytics tools a plus
Knowledge of content management systems a plus
Required Education :
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the software development field
