The Walt Disney Company Coordinator, Entertainment - Costuming in Chiba, Japan
Act as the first point of cotact for all aspects related to Tokyo Disney Resort, Entertainment Costuming.
Provide overall coordination and administrative support for Entertainment Costuming at the Tokyo Disney Resort receiving day to day directions from the Manager of Entertainment Costuming.
*The position will be a full-time contract position with a number of renewals and contract terms based on business needs.
Responsibilities : Facilitate communication/coordination of photo documentation with Character Programs and Design (CP&D) for approvals on new design character costumes and all character costume overlays
Coordination of shipping of costumes to/from Japan and related inventory transfers
Point of contact for changes, updates, revisions and introduction of new designs
Archivist for costuming-related documentation for historical reference, precedent and design benchmark
Gather and share information related to projects with internal Disney resource partners to reach timely decisions that enable projects to stay on schedule.
Business Travel coordination with OLC to determine priority and value of meetings with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Partners
Facilitate requests/inquiries from Global Parks related to costuming content and liaise in sharing content from Disney partners to share with OLC counterparts
Coordinate costuming scope between Disney Parks Live Entertainment (DPLE) and OLC on project collaborations (new parades, stage shows, spectaculars)
Basic Qualifications :
Organized with ability to prioritize and work within deadlines
Attention to detail
Ability to interact and establish good relationship with OLC
Ability to take direction and adapt to change
Ability to interact with multiple teams and assemble information in a comprehensive format(spreadsheets, PowerPoint, other collaboration platforms)
Ability to pro-actively determine tasks to be done and complete those tasks with minimal supervision
Fluency in both Japanese and English communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
Valid Driver’s License and willing to drive (preferred)
2 years or more experience in similar industry or theater is preferred, but not a requirement
Primarily office work with some overtime on occasion. Some irregular hours such as late night or early morning shifts
