We are looking for an exceptional Senior Manager to manage a team dedicated to innovation and technology development; someone with experience delivering disruptive solutions in the infrastructure of an enterprise company, well versed in the practices of software development teams, and can deliver and develop high performing developer and infrastructure teams to meet project goals. The role requires someone who can drive innovation and provide the balance that is needed to integrate the future with current states. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You’ll need to be able to help drive decisions that meet the team needs; doing so in a way that builds the collaborative relationships needed.

Our team is focused on providing hosting services to our business segment partners. These hosting services include Cloud based solutions that increase the productivity and speed of our development and product teams; services that meet the scale and demand needs of our community. This role will be a key contributor within our Infrastructure Architecture, Engineering and Hosting teams, as well as the entire Disney Enterprise Technology Organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Drive innovation and evolution of technology across the Disney landscape

  • Introduce disruptive technologies to enhance agility and performance

  • Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for the Disney infrastructure

  • Partner with segments on emerging technologies to gather business requirements and develop solutions

  • Communicate and market solutions to Disney segments

  • Be a technical leader for the software development life cycle (SDLC) and ensure the team is leveraging the right processes from a testing, CI and CD approach

  • Automate, tune, and improve our DevOps provisioning and management toolset and deployment technologies

  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code across the private cloud landscape

  • Work with the operational teams on determining the right service offerings and ensure we have a complete service delivery with those teams

  • Research, design and develop tooling solutions to automate workflows to access, process, and visualize data

  • Ensure we deliver on our commitments

  • Manage and mentor team of critical thinkers and DevOps engineers

  • Influence software engineering best practices within wider organization

Basic Qualifications :

  • 12+ years of experience building large scale distributed systems or applications with progressively increasing responsibilities

  • 5+ years’ experience working in an ITIL framework or six sigma organization

  • 7+ years of hands on coding experience

  • 5+ years of managing teams with high caliber engineers

  • 1-2 years of hands on experience with AWS based deployments using S3, EC2, Auto-Scaling, Cloudwatch, RDS etc.

  • Experience driving change across a large company to deliver fast, innovative solutions

  • Prior experience with enterprise level architecture or with a large, complex global organization

  • Experience with Agile methods

  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and processes

  • Experience with Azure or AWS stack

  • Experience with Google stack

  • Fluency with one or more of the following scripting languages like PowerShell, python, php, JavaScript

  • Knowledge of visualization stacks like node.js and/or HTML5 will be useful too

  • Experience with big data systems like Hadoop, Hive, Cassandra, Elastic search will be a big plus

  • Experience with GIT, Chef, Puppet is desirable

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform
