The Walt Disney Company VP, Enterprise Products and Programs in Burbank, California
Based in Glendale, CA and reporting to the EVP Enterprise Technology and CIO, the Vice President, Enterprise Products and Programs will be responsible for assuring alignment of Enterprise Technology resources and organizational focus on strategic priorities; maximizing TWDC business value by focusing on enterprise-wide and Enterprise Technology programs; assuring organizational strategy and operating principles are deliberate and transparent and governing alignment of standards and policies, managing a portfolio of strategic programs and facilitating strategic client engagement. This successful candidate will bring program management skills, technical expertise, financial and business acumen, and deep relationship management capabilities in order to maximize the speed, effectiveness and efficiency of Enterprise Technology efforts across the enterprise.
Responsibilities : Leading and transforming several functional areas that are critical to Enterprise Technology delivering against its priorities, and driving ongoing reprioritization of resources across these areas as business needs shift:
Enterprise Strategic Programs / Project Management Office
Own technology Integration Management Office (IMO) for key acquisition integration activities.
Drive transformational efforts around service portfolio rebalancing, technology optimization, international transition and enterprise-wide technology governance and alignment.
Oversee portfolio of strategic projects, including executive-level reporting and decision analysis on project prioritization.
Drive consistent program and project management methodology across Enterprise Technology, as well as offering PMO services to the organization, including external vendor support.
Lead highly matrixed team of engaged leaders who are responsible for partnering with Disney business segments and enterprise functions in the delivery of their business strategies.
Provide account planning, overall service performance facilitation and single point of contact when needed.
Continuously evolve roles and organizational design to optimize alignment to sources of business value creation.
Strategic Product Management
Provide senior leadership support for strategic products including ServiceNow and Identity and Access.
Product management organization focused on the Enterprise-wide roadmap for product direction, maturation and prioritization.
Technology Business Management. Consult in the following areas:
Organizational strategy and performance
‘Connecting the dots’ between, and keeping pace, with technology developments, business/financial forecasts, competitive landscape, evolving customer needs, and initiative goals/deadlines.
Development of executive presentations for key business and strategic initiatives, including senior executive meetings.
Enterprise Tech products and employee marketing and communication services.
Architecture and Governance
Provide clarity and coordinate through program management of the various Enterprise Technology governance teams to assure role clarity and collaborative segment out-reach.
Partner with key technology leaders across TWDC in definition and sustained transparency of the technology federated governance structure, including the capture and sharing of the TWDC Shared Technology Agenda.
Basic Qualifications :
15 years experience, with at least 5+ year at the executive level, ideally with fortune 500 corporations, including significant leadership of major cross-functional initiatives and business operations in a technology organization.
Client management background or demonstrated background in building partner relationship management programs for an IT or technology organization.
Demonstrated application of strong business acumen and exceptional technical skills to drive strategic outcomes, effectively translating technology trends and issues into meaningful, understandable and actionable business priorities.
A “working IT executive” who gets into the details, is experienced in managing multiple medium to large scale initiatives and cross-functional teams, and demonstrates the capability to identify and marshal resources (e.g., people, funding, executive support) to initiate and complete products, projects and programs.
Exceptional verbal and written communication and project leadership skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at the executive level.
Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, plus the ability to build strong and sustainable relationships, and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization and across the globe.
Ability to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long-term project focus with the urgency of immediate demands. Demonstrates strong ability to see the bigger picture and reprioritize on an ongoing basis.
Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative.
