The Walt Disney Company’s Legal Department is seeking an experienced executive assistant to support the Associate General Counsel in the Corporate Technology Legal Team. We are looking for a bright, positive, detail-oriented and reliable self-starter who can support a complex and significant workload in a fast-paced and wide-ranging legal environment. The successful candidate will have strong organizational, technical and interpersonal skills, and must exercise discretion and the highest ethical standards in connection with confidential information.
Answer telephone calls in a professional and responsive manner, and replay messages accurately and efficiently
Schedule and coordinate calendars, conference calls and meetings involving individuals in multiple time zones
Interact with internal assistants, attorneys and other executives, as well as outside firms, vendors and entities
Make travel arrangements for both domestic and international travel
Prepare and process expense reports accurately and in a timely manner
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and filing system
Draft, revise including redlining, distribute and/or execute documents, templates, emails and presentations
Organize manually or in record system substantive materials (e.g., binders) accurately and efficiently
Assist with other Technology Legal Group administrative support responsibilities as needed
This position requires team work with other assistants, paralegals and attorneys in the legal department. Applicants should have a cooperative work style, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude with respect to problem solving.
Basic Qualifications :
A minimum of 5 years of significant administrative support experience in a legal environment, which includes at least 3 years of experience supporting a senior attorney or executive.
Proven proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, plus Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint and SAP Workplace.
Advanced word processing knowledge, including formatting, redlining and comparing documents
Substantial experience working with contracts
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to assure successful interaction with all levels of employees and external contacts
Highly organized, attentive to detail and strong proofreading skills
Responsible, professional demeanor and sound judgment
Self-directing team player who prioritizes effectively, takes initiative and quickly adapts to changing events while maintaining a positive disposition and a sense of humor
Preferred Qualifications :
Significant experience in a legal assistant capacity, supporting senior lawyers
Familiarity with Concur and Document Management
Experience working with technology contracts
Strong general computer skills
Required Education :
- Minimum of an associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree from college is preferred.
