The Director, Franchise Management leads creation and guides implementation of global cross-company strategy and initiatives for the priority, cross-LOB girl evergreen franchises, Disney Princess and Frozen.

Responsibilities :

  • Strategy: Leads the development of strategic business plans, including the five-year plan development process, ad-hoc strategy projects and guidance of implementation across segments and regions

  • Content and Marketing: Leads the creation and implementation of marketing initiatives including creating marketing objectives, creating cross-company umbrella marketing campaigns and activation plans, developing briefs for creative agencies, identifying creative concepts, scoping and tracking marketing budgets, developing business cases, ensuring the creative agency executes and delivers on the briefs, and measuring campaign impact

  • Team Management: Leads team to deliver on franchise business objectives and employees development goals

Basic Qualifications :

  • 10-12 years of experience in marketing or brand management with a global mindset, working in a world-class organization. 2-4 years of experience as a Director already (i.e., we are looking for a seasoned Director)

  • Knowledge and experience deploying marketing campaigns across TV, Social/Digital, and Retail

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task

  • Partnership leadership skills to manage within a cross-functional team

  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and persuade at all levels across the organization

  • Comfortable working through a matrix structure to deliver the end solution; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

  • Interest in and acumen for creative with an understanding of how to work with and communicate to creative teams

  • Excellent communication and engaging presentation skills (verbal and written)

  • Challenges status quo to do things differently

Skills/Specialized Knowledge:

  • Passion for entertainment, with strong knowledge of feature, series, and digital content

  • Experience working with international teams especially helpful

  • Experience leading a team and developing individual contributors

  • Experience in consumer marketing strategy and implementation, whether at an entertainment company, consumer goods company, retailer, or agency

  • Target definition and customer segmentation strategies

  • Positioning and brand development strategies

  • Marketing campaign development and execution, including guiding marketing messages based on consumer insights and evaluating creative deliverables

  • Analytics and insights in support of strategy development (e.g., market sizing, customer insights, P&L analysis, etc.)

  • Strong people manager – both of direct reports and “virtual” teams across enterprise

  • Adept at organizing people against common goals and deliverables, even if they do not report in directly

  • Motivate staff at all levels, providing individualized coaching and identifying career development opportunities

  • Identify and recruit talent

  • Excellent PowerPoint (and ideally Keynote) and Excel skills

Required Education :

  • 4 year college degree

Preferred Education :

  • MBA from a top tier university highly desirable

  • Former Disney experience especially helpful
