Adventures by Disney vacations are immersive, Disney-guided travel experiences for families to explore the world’s greatest destinations.
This position works in conjunction with internal partners in the daily management of an assigned group of itineraries. This individual will manage all aspects of the operation. This includes working closely with the Trip Manager, Adventure Guides, vendors and suppliers to ensure excellent Guest satisfaction and smooth logistics.
This position may participate in the development of both new trip itineraries and revisions/alterations to current itineraries. Components of trips will be sourced and selected working in tandem with internal partners.
Logistical planning and negotiations of third-party operating contracts (to include hotels, restaurants, activities, transportation, etc.) is required. Partner extensively with Reservations, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Legal, Risk, and Trip Services
This position requires the ability to effectively interact and communicate with Adventure Guides, Guests, Manager of Guide Operations and vendors. Relationships with Adventure Guides and vendors must be created, nurtured, and maintained to the highest ethical standards. This includes, but is not limited to business negotiations, third-party operating contracts and invoicing (including hotels, food and beverage,
This position will need to work on assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Oversee all operating aspects of assigned itineraries
Work with various internal and external partners to recruit, interview, onboard, schedule and train Adventure Guides
Oversee and review work of Trip Managers and Adventure Guides
Coach, counsel and develop Adventure Guides and Trip Managers on expectations, operating guidelines, Company standards and feedback
Manage budgets and all trip costs for assigned itineraries
Manage and galvanize all third-party and supplier relationships, oversee all operational logistics, invoicing and contracting related to assigned itineraries (including, but not limited to, hotels, food and beverage, attractions, activities, local guides, and transportation)
Strive to negotiate the best possible rates from third-party suppliers and liaison with Disney Legal and Risk Management to ensure that suppliers / contracts meet full approval
Strive to improve itineraries by responding to Guest surveys and Guide trip reports and ensuring that all third-party suppliers maintain or exceed quality standards and the level of Disney service contracted
Responsible for itinerary change management and involvement in new itineraries
Contract and recontracting of itineraries
Participate in the creation of annual departure schedules
Partner with the Trip Development team on new and existing itineraries to ensure all aspects of the itinerary flow seamlessly from development to execution.
Work with Trip Services team to implement all trip operational requirements (including, but not limited to, collateral, media and Guide technology)
Work closely with Reservations regarding inventory management, Guest information and special requests
Work with Marketing, Sales, Reservations and other partners regarding product knowledge, trip operations and special events
Responsible for established travel and entertainment requirements such as trip cash and reimbursement procedures, allowable expenses for Adventure Guides, Trip Managers and self
Responsible for the completion, updating and communication of all appropriate documentation (including, but not limited to, product build, legal and financial paperwork, itinerary overviews, training and operating procedures)
Support and drive business initiatives
Responsible for safety and security procedures for Guests and Cast and Emergency Operations process

Ability to organize and prioritize while working within strict time constraints. Ability to work on several tasks at once and meet deadlines
Proven leadership ability
Experience managing individuals and teams
Experience in interviewing and scheduling
Minimum of three years of travel industry
Must be flexible and willing to travel on short notice – scope and frequency will vary but can be for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications :
Foreign language skills
International knowledge and travel experience
Destination knowledge and experience of The United States, Europe, South American, Asia/Pacific, Africa
Knowledge of basic trip logistics
Required Education :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
