This is a Full-Time Project Hire/Internal Assignment role.

What You Will Do

  • Design, configure, install, test, document, and sustain hardware and software control systems to support Show Audio Video Systems at the Disneyland Resort and other Disney parks. Directly participate in installations, and also supervise installation work by vendors. The components in these systems include CCTV cameras, microphones, public address, party line phones, audio and video sources/routers/ playback, audio amplifiers, speakers, and projectors.

  • Engage in project estimating, scheduling, planning, and training.

  • Partner with other Engineering teams and lines of business to ensure attraction reliability and safety.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of professional AV integrating or engineering experience.

  • Detailed experience with software and computer systems.

  • Ability to learn new systems.

  • Understanding of electronic principles, specifically DC (Direct Current) power systems.

  • Background in troubleshooting electronic components and computer-based systems at the hardware, software, and system level.

  • Working knowledge of networking principles.

  • Prior use of vital field tools: multimeter, oscilloscope, network analyzer, spl meter, wave form monitor.

  • Proficient in completing the controls project life-cycle: requirements definition, design, procurement/fabrication, installation, acceptance test, document, and provide training.

  • Work extended/off-hours when needed to support project or Resort AV engineering issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional engineering experience in the field of AV automation or control systems.

  • Experience with theme parks or industrial control systems with man-machine interfaces.

  • Experience with audio video integration, such as at stadiums and auditoriums.

  • Experience with designing and troubleshooting audio over ethernet and video over ethernet.

  • Experience with high-order programming scripting and languages such as Python, Lua, and Netlinx.

  • AUTOCAD skills, able to read schematics and assembly drawings.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

Education

  • You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Broadcast Engineering or similar field, ABET accredited.

  • Preferred: Professional Engineering License.

o The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $112,600 to $151,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
