The Senior Claims Assistant Technical Administrative Support role will assist Workers’ Compensation Claims Representative with all administrative tasks associated with managing workers’ compensation claims. The position requires review and documentation of claims information, issuing vendor and Cast Member payments and state mandated workers’ compensation forms. Additional duties involve transmitting claims transactions to the State of California Division of Workers’ Compensation, and responding to Cast Member phone inquiries.

Responsibilities :



  • New Claim Assessment/Input/Coding/Assignment

  • Imported from HMS

  • Blind Applications

  • Process subpoena requests from both DLR and Corp Legal

  • Process all denied subpoena

  • Liaison to Cast Health in reference – validation of claim data, duplicate claims.

  • Ordering all office supplies / department check requests / purchase orders / new vendors for dept.

  • Scan new claim documents, bills-post audit, grey sheet packets, subpoena & legal documents

  • Vendor Management with CARS / SAP

  • Request / Submit W-9’s through process in CARS to WDW Team and validate compliance Follow up with vendors who submit incomplete/incorrect W-9 information

  • Electronic Data Interface Reporting and liaison for DLR Workers’ Comp between Disney IT and application vendor

  • Update / Create form letter templates in CARS

  • Create monthly MPN list

  • Match daily check run with appropriate EOR / Invoice / Benefit Explanation, stuff and mail

  • Manage Ludwig and Hearing Calendar

  • Prepare claim information for Hearing Reps’ court appearances

  • eDocs System Admin including monthly calls

  • EAMS System Admin / Processor

  • New User Computer Set up

  • Distribute Duty Disposition Reports

  • Process all HMS medical reports

  • Process all reports and billing from service vendors

  • Process all surgery approval notifications and confirmations to eDocs

  • Pull all weekly wage loss wage statements / work brain screen shots / cover letters

  • Process storage retrieval

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated understanding of California Workers’ Compensation statute

  • Demonstrated proficiency in CARS, HMS, eDocs, WorkBrain, SAP, Outlook

  • Bilingual – English and Spanish speaking
