The Walt Disney Company Marketing Manager (Hong Kong Market) in Lantau Island, Hong Kong

Development and implementation of marketing strategies and plans on major projects to drive visitation from Hong Kong locals. Overall, work independently to obtain approval from Head of HK Market with endorsement by Director, Marketing.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct business reviews and stay on top of market trend as well as competitive scene.Work with Consumer Insights to develop consumer understanding strategies and plans to track brand health measures or evaluate potentials to tap various consumer segments

  • Analyze and report market and consumer data in relation to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s business model and goals for developing marketing strategies that build the Resort attendance and revenue by driving Hong Kong locals’ visitation and spending

  • Formulate and implement marketing plans on major projects to support the marketing strategies for Director, Marketing’s approval and subsequently by the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Board of Director. Monitor and improve on an on-going basis. Seek agreement on changes from Head of Hong Kong Market and approval from Director, Marketing

  • Run daily operations. Work with and drive other marketing disciplines to develop and implement marketing `programs to ensure marketing initiatives are fully integrated

  • Establish partnership with other functions (Sales, Operations, Finance, Revenue Management & Analytics, etc) and cross functional work teams to support the launch of various events and new initiatives in the year to maximize the business potential

  • Lead Finance and Revenue Management & Analytics to analyze the financial impact of the marketing spending on individual projects to maximize effectiveness

Basic Qualifications :

  • University degree in Business or related discipline. MBA is preferred

  • 7 years of marketing experience with at least 5 years of P&L and people management responsibility

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the industry dynamic. Strong acumen in drawing a clear conclusion in a logical and systematic manner amidst ambiguity

  • Highly organized and result-driven. Must be a team player while with a strong ability to self-manage

  • Ability to come up with sound rationale to support plans recommendation. Creative and flexible in use of resources to drive innovative solutions

  • Expertise on media, CRM and digital marketing to derive project brief and assessment on recommendations

  • Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills, with a well-organized approach to deliverables

  • Possess maturity in stakeholder relationship, engagement, network building, and conflicts resolution

  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written Cantonese, English, and Mandarin
