This key leadership role on the Project Management and Platform Team in the Technology organization will guide and evolve our Project Management practices; and inspire and develop a team of project managers and project controllers. The ideal candidate is passionate about enabling delivery and business value to our guests and cast through project management excellence, relevant processes and tools, and continuing to grow our agile maturity.
Responsibilities : This key leadership role on the Project Management and Platform Team in the Technology organization will guide and evolve our Project Management practices; and inspire and develop a team of project managers and project controllers. The ideal candidate is passionate about enabling delivery and business value to our guests and cast through project management excellence, relevant processes and tools, and continuing to grow our agile maturity.
Leads and inspires a team of project managers and project controllers (Cast Members and Consultants), matching capacity and delivery to ensure the right people are assigned to the right initiatives within the organization.
Plays an active role in building our practice through the mentoring and development of talent.
Drives value across the organization by continuously improving how technology delivery and financials are managed and monitored.
Partners and proactively communicates across multiple groups to promote transparency and understanding related to project/product planning, forecasting and delivery processes.
Plays an active role on our journey of agile/lean project management, through skill and knowledge of the project management function, to ensure outcome driven value for our guests and cast.
Sponsors process and practice improvements in the project management environment and serves as a catalyst for project management excellence.
Basic Qualifications :
Expert in and demonstrates hands on understanding of agile and project management principles & practices (PMI/CMMI/Agile Alliance/Scrum Alliance).
Strong understanding and hands on experience of project financial concepts, forecasting, and budget management.
Experience managing a diverse team of project professionals with the ability to inspire and motivate to produce quality work focused on execution and delivery.
Proven ability to successfully operate in a matrix organization where partnership and influence are the key drivers of success.
Strong experience in managing and leading programs and projects with MVP mindset and measureable outcomes.
Ability to initiate change and act with integrity when tough decisions have to be made.
Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership in both business and technology roles.
Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking, strategic planning, and process management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as presentation and group dynamics skills.
Solid understanding of technology organizations and specific challenges and issues.
Advanced knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office tools.
Knowledge and use of Agile tools
Experience with a variety of project management methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills - ability to take a process perspective in solving problems.
Preferred Qualifications :
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead efforts to provide overall guidance and structure for creating and maintaining standards for project management.
Demonstrated ability to manage the day-to-day tasks of diverse teams, while effectively influencing senior management on key decisions and direction.
Demonstrated inclusive leadership that embraces diversity.
Demonstrated ability to connect and influence others in order to achieve organizational priorities.
Required Education :
Minimum college/undergraduate degree (e.g., B.S. /B.A.) or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Agile based Project Management or equivalent experience, ideally in a cross-functional technical delivery capacity.
Minimum 4+ years overall experience with project management methodologies and practices with leadership experience in a technical environment.
Preferred Education :
Bachelors in a technology/engineering field
Project Management Professional (PMP, ACP) ® credential, CSM, Product Owner
Proficiency with Enterprise Project Portfolio Management tools.
