The Walt Disney Company Manager of Development, International Co-Production, Animation in Glendale, California
This position leads development of international co-production projects for Marvel Television. The role is suited for someone dynamic and creative. Experience in storytelling and involvement in the scripting process is critical. Animation production, development and localization experience is required.
- The ability to speak and write Japanese is required for this position.
Compile creative, branding and strategy notes from various Marvel stakeholders to distribute back to co-production teams.
Coordinate and track submissions, assets and approvals.
Compile creative assets such as publishing, animation, marketing & PR assets and distribute to internal & production partners.
Provide creative notes on development materials. Offer up creative solutions and concepts for themes and storylines.
Create creative briefs and development updates on Marvel productions using materials given by management.
Manage interns to assist development.
Coordinate Marvel distribution & approvals on scripts, character designs and other assets for co-productions or licensed productions.
Attend recording sessions and track script changes and pick-ups.
Attend mix sessions and give creative notes and QC final deliverables.
Create and distribute creative briefs and voice testing kits for foreign territories for all Marvel animation shows for dubbing purposes.
Review & approve foreign dubbing casting for all Marvel animation shows.
Basic Qualifications :
5+ years of animation development, production, scripting and localization
Proven success on animated series which have aired in the U.S. or internationally
Experience working in a creative team
Experience working in international co-production environment
Excellent communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience script-writing or editing scripts
Prior network or studio employment
