How would you like to be responsible for both leading brand and product marketing campaigns across an assigned portfolio of licensed titles within the Walt Disney Games global portfolio?

What You Will Do

The Manager, Marketing, partners with licensees to deliver world-class campaigns! You will play a significant role within the global Walt Disney Games business by both bringing day to day expertise across owned projects that are large scale in scope and complexity. While leading a team of 1 to 3 marketing professionals, you will drive a specific portfolio of marketing titles within the Walt Disney Games business. Your team will help each licensee successfully create/implement go-to-market plans that build brand awareness, engage consumers, and drive conversions through thoughtful brand storytelling, data-driven insights, and creative innovation – all grounded in a consumer-centric integrated marketing approach. Your oversight will blend the qualitative and quantitative aspects of marketing to craft a great story!

This role reports to the Director, Marketing of Disney Games.

On any day, you will:

  • Lead an assigned list of priority titles within Disney Games and ensure the successful launch and live operations of these titles in partnership with licensees

  • Act as the day-to-day lead with licensees in reviewing marketing materials, providing insightful mentorship/feedback, and managing/approving go-to-market plans, creative assets, and marketing activations

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team that own multiple marketing titles, advising on prioritization and resource management while achieving professional and personal developmental goals

  • Be the lead marketing communicator for the assigned portfolio titles to the external partner and internal stakeholders, while cultivating positive relationships

  • Be a strong brand steward for The Walt Disney Company (TDWC) brands, especially in providing mentorship/feedback to licensees to deliver on-brand marketing and creative executions that are both innovative and differentiated, while remaining true to the product

  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights with licensees to identify market opportunities that inform product decisions and that help craft player personas/target audiences, positioning, and when working with partners to create specific go-to-market plans

  • Analyze performance of marketing campaigns with licensees regularly to identify areas of optimization and make actionable recommendations

  • Implement industry best practices with licensees and strive to uphold benchmarks across all marketing campaigns and maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitive market, business opportunities, etc.

  • Positively partner closely with internal cross-functional teams (Product Development, PR, Franchise, Legal and more) to leverage their expertise throughout all stages of production and to ensure alignment and consensus for a successful launch and/or continued live operations

  • Create and deliver on innovative and performance driven Disney Marketing campaigns that extend reach, increase awareness, and result in meaningful brand deposits

  • Serve as the internal brand champion for licensees to help garner support for plans across TWDC

  • Collaborate with regional teams to implement global strategy via significant local campaigns

  • Present marketing updates to Marketing and Games Executives and broader Games and Franchise Teams

  • Create marketing pitch decks, presentation materials, internal plans, and post-mortems

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ years of validated experience in Marketing, combined with 2+ years of working in the gaming industry and 1-2 years of people management experience required

  • Goal-oriented strategic/creative problem solver with a proven track record of taking ownership and driving results

  • Demonstrated success in brand management, product marketing, user acquisition, and social/community marketing strategies/campaigns

  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Outstanding ability to influence and “sell” strategies to a wide audience set and cultivate strong relationships with licensees

  • Resourceful problem-solver with a can-do attitude; works well under pressure

  • Project management mentality with organization, prioritization and multitasking

  • Motivational leader with consistent record to inspire direct report(s) to learn/grow and deliver results

  • Proficiency in KeyNote/PowerPoint; the ability to creatively tell a story in a compelling way

  • Understanding of 3rd party tools used to source app market data and competitive insights

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $123,000 to $165,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
