Within Enterprise Controllership, the Participations Contract Reporting department is responsible for providing specialized reporting and analysis pursuant to The Walt Disney Company’s contractual reporting obligations to our talent for all business units across the Enterprise. This position is responsible for providing specialized reporting and analysis pursuant to business transactions negotiated between talent and various businesses across The Walt Disney Company. This position also prepares and analyzes accounting statements for, artists (e.g. actors, writers, producers, or publishers), rights holders and/or certain investors and analyzes and deciphers account data to accurately prepare statements in connection with the company’s third party reporting obligations.
Provide talent reporting by analyzing deal terms as outlined in negotiated agreements.
Manage and support the integrity and development of third party reporting through front of house system queries and reconciliations to the general ledger (SAP).
Reconciliation of payments to the general ledger and Ultimate projections by title.
System testing and implementation of new process improvements.
Provide support and assist with ad hoc requests/special projects for team objectives
Basic Qualifications :
Minimum 0 - 2 years relevant accounting experience
Internship experience preferred
Basic understanding of contract reporting processes
Solves basic to moderately complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Strong research/analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
May maintain communications with both internal and external contacts
Able to work in a flexible team environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Required Education :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
