The Theatrical Finance team provides financial, strategic planning and analytical support to the Marketing and Distribution teams, who oversee the worldwide theatrical release of all Studio films, including movies from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Disney Live Action and Disneynature.
Our team works with Marketing and Distribution business leaders to manage P&A investment decisions and to maximize the long term financial results of the Studio’s Theatrical business.
Reporting to the Manager Global Marketing Finance, this position works with Marketing, Distribution, Studio Finance, Operations and Controllership teams to manage financial planning and reporting primarily for domestic theatrical and international theatrical Burbank basics, including:
Assist Manager with financial budget and forecast submissions as well as department liaison responsibilities
Assist Manager with financial and business operations for in-house marketing editorial unit, The Hive
Assist Manager with the analysis of vendor spend in order to financially inform contract negotiations
Create ad-hoc financial models, analyses, reports and related presentation materials
Analyze marketing and distribution cost variances to forecast, minimize as appropriate
Maintain and improve department financial reporting tools and processes
Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Five Year Plan
Assist accounting and other finance teams with development and maintenance of internal controls and processes; ensure the accuracy and reliability of all financial forecasts and reporting
Interface with varying levels of marketing and distribution management, studio finance, studio controllership, and other Disney segments

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint ability
Minimum three years business experience in accounting or finance required
Preferred Qualifications :
VBA, Tableau, SAP and Cognos experience is a plus
Previous studio entertainment experience a plus

- BA/BS required

- CPA or MBA preferred
