The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international distribution of live-action and animated motion pictures, home entertainment releases, live stage plays, and music and soundtrack recordings.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Sales Planning and Administration in Burbank, CA.
Highly organized and motivated individual with excellent communication, analytic and advanced excel skills needed to support our Canadian Sales Team. In addition, this individual must have exposure to contracts and be able to abstract agreements into main deal points.
Create availability reports (targeted packages of available product, strategically selected for a particular licensee) and initial deal structure for the sales team to pitch
Mine the library to look for opportunities to sell/bundle programs
Assist the sales team with the back and forth negotiations by providing deal structures and parameters for the sales team to work with
Review counter offers and revise the deals accordingly for the sales team to pitch
Provide sales teams comprehensive avails/status of licensed content to maximize sales avails and future sales opportunities
Review and approve monthly invoice entries of licensed TV product in Accounting system
Audit the deal terms of licensed product that have been entered into system and confirm accuracy
Manage information provided for special audits and/or key franchise projects
Prepare annual avails analysis and recommendations for the output agreements in Canada; support negotiations as needed
Support the assessment of client propositions on usage of content; maintain tracker
Participate in calls/meetings with the various international distribution teams on the global deal(s); collect and manage deal information for the start date analysis and incorporate into the notices; prepare and distribute notices
Create and maintain a reference master file on key deal terms
Track and communicate outcome of key US/North American deal negotiations and analyze implications to Canadian licensing opportunities and existing deals
Monitor and manage license period grant for new deals against existing deals
Interact with senior executives on a frequent basis in sales, legal, finance and accounting
One-off analytic projects as required
Basic Qualifications :
Comprehensive understanding of underlying distribution deals coupled with advanced excel skills to be able to perform in-depth analysis.
TV licensing experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with sales, finance, accounting, operations and marketing teams.
Self-starter with ability to prioritize. Excellent time management skills.
Ability to multi-task doing analytical, detail-oriented, high volume work.
Excellent computer skills required – MS Office especially advanced Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, database systems.
Television Distribution experience preferred, entertainment industry experience required.
4+ Years’ Experience in an entertainment company with contract experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with Contract Administration or Sales Planning at a Studio or Network preferred
Required Education :
- BA/BS degree required.
