Global TV Distribution is the television and new media distribution divisions of The Walt Disney Company. This groups license more than 30,000 hours of programming to over 1,300 broadcasters across 240 territories worldwide. The portfolio includes motion pictures from Walt Disney Pictures, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar and TV movies, live actions series from ABC Studios as well as Disney-branded live action and animated children’s programs. A unique opportunity exists to support these dynamic businesses as an Undergraduate Associate – Accounting & Reporting and reports directly to the Financial Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities : A Day in the Life…
Monthly/Quarterly analysis and reconciliation for various balance sheet and P&L accounts
Prepare journal entries to account for monthly transactions
Compile supporting documents for audits and tax inquiries
Run revenue preview reports in contract licensing system as needed
Run various Cognos reports to assist foreign offices with account inquiries
Process and manage vendor payment requests
Become a proficient user of SAP, front of the house licensing system and Cognos reporting tool
Identify opportunities to re-engineer and improve financial processes
Assist with special projects
Basic Qualifications :

Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Proficiency in Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications :
Excellent communication and organization skills required, with the demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently
Experience with Microsoft Excel required
Experience with SAP or other Tier-One ERP in multiple legal entities desired
Experience with international markets and foreign exchange a plus
COGNOS reporting experience a plus
Must be able to work 32 to 40 hours per week
Required Education :
Currently pursuing (or recently graduated with) a degree in accounting, finance or other business related field
GPA of 3.3 or higher
Preferred Education :
Currently pursuing (or recently graduated) with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field
Undergraduate Junior or Senior
Relevant Business or Accounting coursework
A grade of an A or a B in Intermediate Accounting
GPA of 3.5 or higher

Additional Information :
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from May/June through August 2018 .
Required Materials: Resume and transcripts must be uploaded at time of online application.
Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
All Interns should graduate within one year of the internship experience
All Interns should be pursuing or strongly considering a targeted talent development program upon graduation
All interns will be considered at the end of the summer for possible offers for the post-graduate (AFRP) program
